Being there.
When it counts.
So your parents know
where you came from.
To displace Air
until you displace
Earth.

Tell for me this sunset
cooling air on warm face
damp smell of nearby grasses
the soft kkt-kkt-kkt-ktt
of distant frogs
cool wind on bare legs
When the heat fades and disappears
you turn to leave, sunset over,
nothing left to see -
crippled by your eyes, you miss
the sunset
just begun.
